Reception Admissions
Please note the application process for school entry September 2024 is now closed. Dates and deadlines for 2025/2026 academic year will be published as soon as these have been confirmed with the local Authority.
To apply for a place at St Alban’s Catholic Primary School parents and carers must complete the Surrey on-line Common Application Form (CAF) as well as our school Supplementary Information Form (SIF). The SIF MUST be returned directly to the school to complete your application.
Open morning events, in which those interested in sending their child to St Alban’s can visit the school and learn more about us, will be held in the Autumn term. These tours, alongside the information on this website, will give you an insight into school life. Dates of open events will be published on our website once confirmed.
The COMMON APPLICATION FORM (CAF)
All applications for places must be made on the Common Application Form which is available from the Surrey County Council website - https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions.
For a valid application, the CAF must be completed and submitted by the stipulated deadline.
The school’s SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM (SIF)
This is available from the ‘application forms’ section of the website, or paper copies can be collected from the school office. The SIF allows the governors to put all applicants in order of priority for admission in line with the published admission policy.
If you are expressing a preference for a place for your child at this school and wish to apply in connection with one of the faith criteria, you need to complete the SIF.
If you do not complete the SIF and return it to the school with all supporting documents (i.e. copies of your child’s BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE and EVIDENCE OF YOUR CHILD’S BIRTH (birth certificate or passport) and EVIDENCE OF ADDRESS (Council Tax letter or recent utility bill)) by the closing date, your child may not be placed in the appropriate faith criterion. This is likely to affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
For a Reception Year admission the completed SIF, together with all supporting documents, should be returned to the school by the stipulated deadline.
Note: If the school receives an incomplete SIF, this might affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
You are advised to keep copies of the forms for your records (whether completed online/on paper).
If you would like to express an interest in the school for a future Reception intake, please register HERE. Please note this form is to allow us to notify you of future open days; it is NOT an application form and should not be used for the current Reception intake or for in-year admissions.
